The Color Green 6/3/20
In nature their must be thousands of shades of green! The painter definitely exhausted her brush when she colored the woods I love.
Each spring the yellow green of the new foliage is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It strikes me as fragile, unsure, in the process of becoming like a newborn baby.
However, this past week I have noticed the more mature dark green many of those new green buds are maturing into.
And then we have the strong, stable green of the evergreen. It almost has a blue hue to it. It is the one constant green even when all the other greens have changed to golds and reds and oranges. And we have thousands of greens in between.
It seems to me that, in nature, all the colors can live in a rich and vibrant pallet where each is valued just because it exists. I could not imagine excluding one hue.
Truth is, we should all be valued, just because we exist, wherever we are on our journey.
